Heads Up!! GST Rates Change July 1, 2006

In case you forgot, the GST rate charged by the federal government changes this July from 7% to 6%. If you use computer software, remember to change the GST rate. In some Canadian provinces, that means changes to the HST (Harmonized Sales Tax). Either way, if you don't change, you will be charging your customer's too much.

If you are in the business of retail, you may be using point-of-sale software program or cash registers. All of these must be changed too.
